We have so many pets I decided to dedicate a page for them.
Sadly we had to give the turtle away as it got too much to clean. We knew he was going to be messy but
scrubbing a tank every 3 days is way messier than we thought. He went to a good home though.
The hamster and the gerbil died a few months ago so we still have the cat Felix and the parrot Lorito,
as well as the discus fish Mike is breeding. Oh, and of course we still have the 2 budgies, Guapo and Indy. I think we have
something like 9 tanks in the basement and 1 huge tank in the living room.
So at Thanksgiving the discussion was a dog (we have been considering this dog a while) or a lizard.
We got both. Go figure!
Mike asked the kids if they wanted a lizard and came home with it. Charlie is a leopard gecko and to
look at looks nice. Mike's job is to feed him the live crickets, not me. I have told him in no uncertain terms to NEVER
bring home a snake.
Summer 2006 update is that we now have 2 geckos, the new one we called Fred.
And we got a dog as well. Mike wanted a big dog, but we have a small house. He finally was OK with looking
at small dogs and the minute we saw Pepper we thought she was so cute!
She is a Jack Russell Terrier/poodle cross, otherwise known as a Jackapoo or (my preference) a Jackadoodle.
She was born 14 July 2005, 10 days after my birthday (obviously not the same year)
We discovered this winter that she LOVES the snow!! Even when the drifts are higher than she is!!
